Understanding Signal Analysis

Learn how our multi-signal consensus system reads matches and produces a Confirm or Contradict call versus the market.

How Our Signal System Works

1

Data Collection

We collect comprehensive data from thousands of table tennis matches, including player statistics, head-to-head records, recent form, and match conditions.

2

Signal Computation

Independent signals are computed per match: Glicko-2 ratings, Form L5/L10, Streak, H2H history, Market direction, Last Activity, Odds Role, and First Set patterns.

3

Consensus & League Portrait

Signals vote on every match. League Portrait tracks which signals are performing right now per league. The system produces a Confirm read (signals agree with the market favorite) or a Contradict read (signals back the underdog), with each tier's real, point-in-time record public on the Performance page.

4

Signal Display

Results are shown as signal consensus scores and a Confirm or Contradict tier, with the market price alongside for comparison.

Understanding Signal Scores

Match Winner
Shows the probability (as a percentage) that each player will win the match based on signal consensus. Higher percentage means stronger signal agreement.
Pick Quality Tiers
The system outputs two tiers: Confirm (our signals agree with the market favorite) and Contradict (our signals back the underdog). Each tier's real, point-in-time record β€” including where it loses β€” is public on the Performance page.

Key Signals in Our Analysis

Recent Form

Player win rates across multiple time windows (last 5, 10, 20, 50, 100 matches, last 6 months, all-time). Form L5 and Form L10 are dedicated signals in the multi-signal system.

Head-to-Head Records

Historical matchups between players reveal dominance patterns. H2H is one of the dedicated signals β€” activated when a player has 60%+ win rate across 3+ H2H matches.

Temporal Statistics

Performance across multiple time windows helps identify trends and form changes. Used by Form L5, Form L10, and Streak signals.

League Context

Different leagues have different patterns. League Portrait adapts to what is working right now in each specific league.

Accuracy & Limitations

Our Track Record

We publish the real, point-in-time record of every Confirm and Contradict call on the Performance page β€” wins and losses, no cherry-picking.

Important: No edge detection system wins every bet. Always use our analysis as a tool to inform your decisions, not as the sole basis for betting. Consider multiple factors and never bet more than you can afford to lose.
